About the Pilot School Program

ELMO’s Pilot School Program offers K-12 schools across the country a chance to experience our new collaboration device, the Huddle Space Collaboration Hub. Huddle Space is an educational teamwork tool that allows users to switch between up to 8 different devices, making it an excellent tool for group projects, presentations, and co-working in the classroom. Through the program, schools can try the Huddle Space in their classroom free for 30 days. Pilot Schools will also be automatically entered to win a huge technology bundle at the end of our 2018 program!

How can my school become a Pilot School?

Applications should be completed by the teacher who will be using the Huddle Space during the Program’s duration or a member of the school’s administration. We review all applications as they are received to determine eligibility. If your school is selected, we’ll set up an introductory phone call to discuss the program and determine a timeline for implementation. ELMO will then send you a Huddle Space trial unit that is yours to use however you like for 30 days. The 30 day trial begins on the day the school receives their Huddle Space unit.

What happens when the program is over?

As a thank you for participating, Pilot Schools can purchase their Huddle Space trial unit for a highly discounted price at the end of the program. Schools will also be eligible for discounted pricing of ELMO’s entire product line. If you don’t want to buy Huddle Space, that’s okay too! We’ll provide a free shipping label so you can send it back to us at no cost. We’ll also send an exit survey to provide us with feedback about your experience with Huddle Space that will be used towards future product development and possible testimonials or case studies.

What are our 2017 Pilot Schools saying about Huddle Space?

“We used Huddle Space for our STEM Capstone presentations. In the past, when one student would finish their presentation, they would need to log out of their account and the device. Then, as the next student was getting ready for their presentation, we were all forced to sit and wait for them to login to access their documents. With Huddle Space, we would simply have each device connected and switch from one to the other when it was time for a presentation change. This allowed us to more efficiently move through the Capstone candidates and made it a more pleasurable experience for the presenting students. We enjoyed the product very much and it helped to simplify a poor process for us.”

– Gordy Wenum, Media Specialist/Technology Coordinator at Lakeville South High School

“We used Huddle Space for professional development co-presentations. This allowed each presenter to prepare their presentation (application showdown — back and forth presentations) while the other presenter was presenting. Both teachers and students were very impressed with the ease of use, and they loved the ability to record. It made the presentations seamless. I don’t think we would want to go back to any other way! LOVE IT!”

– Sara Edwards, Library Media Specialist at Webb City High School
